Anna Bedell’s.  My sister suggested the name   And it stuck like molasses. So sweet I could almost taste it. It was empowering, mere perfection. This business, the culmination of myriad Daydreams and sweet ambition would be the name of the two strongest women I knew.

My grandmother, Anna. European immigrant. Strong. Intoxicatingly beautiful. Wise. Thick German accent. A laugh that would fill the room. She was the epitome of classic with a heart of unwavering compassion.  She was my grace, my protector and guide. She was the loveliest, bravest woman I knew. 

My great grandmother Bedell. A southern Appalachian woman. Humble. Hard as nails. Funny and gentle. She smelled of sweet butter with a personality that made you want more. Farmer, Gardener, mother, protector, comedian-she was the matriarch. She was everything we needed and more. 

Anna Bedell’s began as a dream, became a brick and mortar boutique and evolved into an online community of everyday women – a savvy style society with an original aesthetic. An online business that I get to share alongside my childhood best friend.  

Much like my grandmothers, the Anna Bedell‘s woman has a closet of cherished collectibles that reflect her eclectic lifestyle. She is a mother, a workaholic, a comedian, an artist, a philanthropist, a guide, a blossoming matriarch. Whether she knows it or not, she is the strongest person and someone’s life. She deserves some ease.
